those 2 are my high end builds since i dont game hardcore i still want to see if which of the top two are better overall for gaming and overclocking.

and this is my mediocre build

i mainly need somethings thats futureproof or upgradeable
if i got a weaker cpu and a better card i can always upgrade after few months and get a way better cpu but i need some serious opinions before i buy anything
and also what would be best ram for ocing and overall gaming and speed performance for a decent or affordable price range

If you are an overclocker you definitely want the Opteron. Now you have to decide if you need dual-core or not. If you have the cash I would get a dual-core, but if you do not multitask or use multithreaded applications you wouldn't benefit much.

If you want the absolute best RAM it would be Crucial Ballistix. You would also want 2GB. However, IMO, it is not worth it. These are the best bang for your buck. They are pretty cheap compared to most 'performance' RAM and can get some pretty impressive overclocks.

but its over my price range

i need something that will play hl2 / dod source in 1024 on high without lag but i dont wana pay a dramatic amount like
that 165 is 400 canadian and a bit to much
 
If you're only playing at 1024x768 you could get a cheaper video card. Something like a 6800GS would be good.
