Alright guys, so I've been out of the loop for a long while here, and would like to upgrade the ole graphics card. I built this computer back in 2008 and it was pretty good then, but games like The Witcher 2 are bogging me down a bit. Even the Diablo 3 beta at everything on high aside from shadows is making my computer struggle. I'm looking for something that is within my listed budget range. I can overclock my cpu a bit if necessary, but I'm trying to do without upgrading it and the mobo. Given another couple years I'll probably do a major upgrade of everything, but for now I'm just looking for a more powerful gfx card that won't necessarily be completely bottlenecked by my cpu.

an HD6950 would probably be good. Overclocking your CPU I'd actually try first cause sometimes the whole problem is CPU holding back the card a bit.

A 6950 is out of his budget...

I'd say a GTX 460 is the way to go with your budget. In particular:

EVGA is pretty great about customer service (and they have a nifty step-up program so if you want a better card within 90 days, you can subtract the price you paid for this card from the price of the newer card). Have personally used a lot of those in builds I do for clients and they work fantastically (and overclock like mad).
