Need help deciding on a network switch

I want to upgrade my network and buy a "switch", I think a 4-port one+uplink

The problem is that I cannot decide on which one to take A Netgear FS-105 5-Port Fast Ethernet Switch or a Linksys EZXS55W EtherFast 10/100 5-Port Switch.

Any sugestions are welcome, maybe you know something better than this , the write.

Thanx in Advance

I've used the Linksys you cited . . . it was a good one . . . but now I don't need it because my DSL modem is also a router. I think either one will do the job. Which would look nicer with your system? 🙂

You might want to consider something like the SMC 7004BR, it's a 4-port 10/100mbit switch, has an uplink port, and also is a router, firewall, network print server, has a port for a broadband (cable or DSL) modem, and also a serial port to connect a standard modem which can be used for shared internet access if you don't have broadband or if your broadband connection goes down. It costs less than US$100.

i have the netgear fs105 and 4 fa310tx cards and ive been really happy with them. i chose them over linksys because of their support. they have techs around 24/7. ive called 4 times and each time i had an answer and the problem fixed in 5 minutes.
