Hey guys,

I am back again to nag you all. lol

I was pretty set on the P-7805u from Gateway for $1,149.99 from Best Buy, but since I am not quite ready to purchase a laptop, I want to do some further research. I want the laptop to be able to run a majority of the current games at a decent frame rate. The 7805 is well specced for the price, but I was also looking at a Dell Studio 16 laptop, which had a faster processor, but a much slower ATI HD 3670, as opposed to the 9800M GTS. The Dell also has the BEAUTIFUL LED screen.

What are you guys' opinions? Are these my best two deals for the money I have available to me, or is there some laptop manufacturer I am missing?

no competition. 9800M would blow that 3670 out of the water. someone mentioned the studio 16 was getting the option of 4670(i think) soon, but who knows if thats true or not

The fact that I could get an absolutely BADASS desktop with the same amount of money does make me a little sick to my stomach, but that is the price you pay for portability.

I heard someone said that Dell Studio notebook is rebaged name? I dont know for the fact and Gateway notebook is nice but the customer service is poor from what I heard. So it is up to you.

Rebaged? What do you mean?

The Gateway just has the most well rounded stats, and powerful graphics, which I would strongly prefer to have.

he is right about the customer support. ever since they got bought by acer i dont think its been the same.
and he probably read that compal/quanta was the one that manufactured dell laptops or something.
theres really no competition in that price category other than gateway. theres that asus thats a bit cheaper, but its got a 15in lcd screen and weaker gpu
