Abit? Asus? MSI 845g max? Gigabyte?

I plan on getting a p4 2.26 and using water cooling, i dont care much about on board features as much as stability and overclock ability. If anyone could please give me their opinion, or what they would do, I would greatly appriciate it, Thanks.

Well, it depends.. do you want to stick with an Intel chipset (ie. 845E)? or would you rather shoot for something a little cheaper like say, SiS' 645DX??

But from what I've seen, a lot of the 845s aren't really all that overclockable (personal experience).

In my opinion all of those manufacturers are great when it comes to OC'd stability... I guess it just all depends on the size of your wallet and personal preferences..

Well, I dont want to spend over $150 and I read a review on the MSI 845Gmax which made it look pretty good...I'm wondering if anyone with an Abit BG7 or with the new Gigabyte board has anything to say, recommendations? Thanks for any help.

I think you should be happy with an Asus P4B533.. The board is a good overclocker though it has limited memory dividers, but the stability is top notch as well..
I'm not sure about the overclocking potential of MSI boards, but they are very stable though.. Layout is a bit poor which will probably hamper your ease of installing watercooling.
