need help creating psx iso file

I'm playing suikoden 2 using epsxe, but it's slows down when there access to the cdrom, I tried using winimage to create a iso but it keeps spitting out small 52kb files and says it's finished. I using my original suikoden 2 us cd, so there shouldn't be any problems, I tried making a win98 iso image and that works fine in winimage 6 but whenever I tried a psx game it doesn't work. What other programs can make iso file from the cdrom, I can't find any iso options in cdrwin or fireburner.
