need help cracking a zip

I have a zip file that no one can remember the password for. But it is acting strange. When I go to unzip it asks for the password. But when I try to use Appnimi ZIP Password Unlocker it says the file is not locked.

I dont know what to do. Any suggestions?

Is the file actually locked, or has it been corrupted/damaged in some way?

If it is definitely locked, then try a better zip cracking tool. Elcomsoft are generally regarded as the market leader in this area, and have an archive password retrieval tool for under $100.

If you used a recent version of winzip to lock the file, then bear in mind that the security level is very, very good - and it may take many hours or days to retrieve the password if it is possible at all. Because of the complexity of the encryption, you may need to have a copy of some of the files in the zip to help the password retrieval.
