Need Help Connecting PDA Device to Scanning Device

I currently have a Samsung i730 and have been connecting it to a LaserChamp scanner using Bluetooth. However, that does not always work very well, and I would like to connect it via a cable. Is there something that I can purchase that can connect the two? The scanner has a male RS-232 connection. I would imagine that the Samsung i730 has some sort of usb connection capability--but whether it is full-sized or mini I don't know.

If that is not possible, can someone recommend another PDA device that could work? It would need to have Windows-Mobile, Touch-Screen capability, as well as have phone/data capability.
