It's probably an offer for a Free! Vacation! and all you have to do is listen to the hard sell of a time share condo. If you have a great resistance to salespeople and a thick skin go ahead. Anyway, the call to find out won't cost you anything.

Some peanuts are on the front of the post card... and it says, "We've been going nuts trying to reach you" which is true cuz I'm online so damn much and only have one line =)

Sciolist, you are definitely right on the money, just did some research on this organization and this was what I found
Still whaling despite the commercial whaling moratorium enacted in 1986.

N.P.M.C. - Black & White Postcards - BUSTED!!!

Recieve any postcards that fit that description lately? I did, 1 with 2 peanut-shaped cartoon figures explaining: "We're going nuts trying to reach you!!" (-ATT. READERS!: Remember that something official will have a look & feel of being official upon it. Not a simple black & white post card that U or I could spit out w/a computer, postage software, a decent printer, the right paper stock & a mailing list. If it was an official prize, that prize would B stated along w/a phrase similar 2: "This is not a scam or attempt to get you to purchase something. You have won this prize free and clear of all charges. etc..." Turns out it's an attempt 2 sell mag. subscriptions in the guise of a contest ($25,000.00, a Ford Explorer or Trip for 2 to Hawaii, + 2 free mag. subscriptions for 48 wks). (-ATT. READERS!: Notice they use month terms vs. year terms, a manip. meant 2 make it seem like a lot 4 a little.) After they get your I-d verification & inform U that you've won a quartz watch & 2 mag. subscriptions, the hard sell comes:(-ATT. READERS!: The only new thing they learned from me was my phone #, but that's ok because I have caller I-d & Voicemail. Give them your cell phone # or a false 1 if U don't want 2 give yours out. I sometimes give out my cell phone # to these co.'s just 4 the oppurtunity of an unexpected phone call in a public place -gives 1 a sense of importance & helps take the mind off social anxiety.)
"Name some of your favorite choices as following: sports, news, computers, etc..." I chose sports & computers, the reply: "Sir, I am further authorized to send you ESPN the Magazine & PC World for 48 weeks. Now that's the quartz watch, 4 magazines and the subscription gifts that come with them, all for $4.95 a week..." @ which pt. I interrupted: "Hold on just a second. Let me stop you right there. I'm not going to pay for anything" which was met with: Thank you for your time, sir. Have a nice day. `click'...."

For a second there I thought I might have been important =)
