Need help: Computer slow: Attached task manager list to isolate source....

Double click the top of the CPU column and the process will arrange in order of use.

Multiple instances of svchost.exe are typical.

Download Microsoft's Process Explorer and you can see what each is doing.

Any suggestions appreciated....
Off the top of my head...

  1. 1) CrapCleaner (CCleaner) is your friend!

    2) Make sure you're using the latest version of Adobe Flash Reader.

    3) If you're running (both) IE8 and Spybot S&D, make sure to disable the "Immunize" feature (and clear out your hosts file).
Those are my Top 3 recommendations. 😉

I have 3 GB of Ram.

I ran CCleaner and it has helped. Also updated to latest flash player....

I am running firefox along with spybot and/or ad-aware....

Microsoft Process Explorer has helped understanding the background programs....

Thanks

Task manager isn't going to do a whole lot to diagnose "slow" How is the machine slow? Does it always happen? Did it start recently?

Plus you're missing a major subsystem by only looking at task manager...disk.
