need help! computer hanging on boot up!!

hi,
i need help..just built a computer and the first time i started it up, it hangs after detecting the cpu..if i press DEL afterwards, it'll then detect the RAM..and if i hit DEL once more, it'll detect the speed of the RAM..then hitting DEL a couple more times allows me to go to the bios and change some settings..basic specs are the following:
abit KD7 motherboard
enermax 350watt
amd athlon xp 2100+
western digital 120gig(not SE) hdd
1x256 DDR PNY RAM (pc2100) double sided
1x256 DDR PNY RAM (pc2100) single sided
ati 9500 pro

thats about it that i have in the system right now..thanks in advance
 
what do u mean hang? when you press delete? or hanging during normal operation?

Disable memtest in bios, what other issues do u have
