need help, computer freezes sometime after returning from hibernation in Win2k

My computer runs fine all day in windows 2000 when booted normally. However, if it instead is booted after being hibernated, it will eventually lock-up. The lock-up is complete (mouse and everything freezes), and happens anywhere from 5 minutes to hours after bootup. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

My system:
Athlon 600 on MSI K7Pro (not overclocked)
SB Live
3dfx Voodoo3 3000
Toshiba SD-M1402 DVD-ROM
Maxtor 20G 7200RPM hard drive
Intel Pro/100+ PCI Ethernet card
External DSL modem

All have latest (that I'm aware of) drivers.
