Hello all,
I was hoping that some of you TV experts out there can help me pick out a 50 inch projection TV for my dad's bday! I know he wants a project, but i'm not sure which one i want to get... The two models I was looking at were the HL-R5078W and the HL-S5086W. I think that the HL-R5078W, but i'm not sure how much better and whether its really necesary to get this model. They are going to use the TV in an open living room and the seating requires good views from multiple angles. There is quite a bit of light in the room as well, so thats another consideration. My parents are kinda old and they are definetly not in need of the ultimate movie experience, but they want a really nice picture and the flexibility to use the TV in the next 5-10 yrs. They probably won't even get surround sound or external speakers to go with the TV, so it needs to have decent sound quality built into the TV.
