Welcome to the forum. :)

Probably wouldn't work too good.

Can of compressed air or small air compressor would work much better.

This thing doesn't seem to be effective to clean a GPU. :hmm: ;)

I suggest a air compressor to clean computer part. Be careful not to put to much pressure on the PCB and/or at close range. Very effective.

If you can, you could always dissassemble the cooler from the card and give the cooler a good air compressor cleaning and wash the PCB with a lint free cloth. Re-apply thermal paste and thermal pads after.

Isopropyl alcohol can also be used to clean the die and other compnents from the PCB.

i use a this pump along with my vacuum cleaner. i slowly pump the air in the vents and keep the vacuum cleaner's nozzle on the exit end to suck in all the dust the pump blows out. it is better to be gentle around gpu, RAM and where CPU meets the cpu cooler.
vacuum cleaner makes sure no dust goes back and settle on other components.

I know that thing is not strong enough.I need it to clean only a small part of the gpu where some dust had settled in.Will it create any static?

Nothing that I would worry about.

Thanks. Also is using a small paint brush {the kind which you use for water coloring}create any issue?I will use that to get rid of dust which doesn't blow off from pcb.

I wouldn't use a brush unless you're sure it will only contact the heatsink surface. Brushes do build up static.

Just buy a can of compressed air at Home Depot or an auto parts store. It's perfectly safe and should last a year or two if you aren't cleaning parts every week.

I've always used brushes and have never had any static issues. Not to say it's not something to be aware of.
