Need Help Choosing RAM

Hi all,

I've been advised by DFI that my current TwinMOS Value RAM is causing my PC to be unstable - I found that Day of Defeat crashed at default settings so I've had to loosen the timings simply to get it to run.

I found some TeamGroup Xtreem Zeus PC4000 BH5 New in a shop for #90 (90 quid) - would you recommend the RAM and is it worth it?

I'm looking for PC4000 at a minimum, and this stuff looks like it fits the bill nicely - I could also pick up the PC3200 version which is also BH5 for ten quid less?

If you're planning on overclocking, get the PC4000. If not, get the BH-5. As a matter of fact, if you're planning on overclocking 30 Mhz or less, get the BH-5. If you're planning on hitting 250, though, just get the PC4000.

Their both BH5

Only difference is one is guaranteed to run at PC3200, one at PC4000 - sorry if I didn't make it clear.

I would guess that the best BH5 chips are reserved for the PC4000?

At this point..yes. Unfortunately, DDR is going the way of the dinosaur along with the good chips (BH-5). If you purchased 1gb kits 1+ years ago I would say just go for the PC3200 and overclock. 2GB kits, usually a good idea to go with the PC4000 versions (although my sig indicates otherwise). Now, if you know you want/need DDR500 get DDR500 (PC4000).

Well, at the moment I've got 1GB of Value RAM which will go to a massive 216FSB before not being prime stable

I've been offered 2GB of G.Skill PC4000 HZ from America, but I live in the UK so am trying to work out whether its as good a deal as it seems.
