I have a "TBird 1.33GHz 266FSB AYHJA Y" and need to know what heatsink would most likely get me to 1.6Ghz? I'm not sure how loud 46dba, but its not above a whisper, then noise is really of no concern to me. Thanks for your help.
if you've got the cash, you won't go wrong with a Swiftech MC-462a. It outperforms everything else on the market and is quieter than most of the other top performing heatsinks, especially those with a delta. It's DBA rating is just a bit lower but the pitch is far different. Think of a running car engine vs. a plane engine at the same noise level - Which one would be more annoying?
Anyhow the Swiftech is as good as you can get with air cooling, hands down. Catch is that it's about $80. You can pick one up at Sidewinder computers. Look at a good review at AMDMB.
