Hi, I need help deciding between Cendyne 48x12x48x USB2 burner and the I/O Magic 52x24x52x USB2 burner. The Cendyne will be on sale at OfficeMax for $80 - $30MIR = $50, while the I/O Magic burner is $83 at Office Depot (no rebate). I heard that the Cendyne one is a Lite-On drive, and the external enclosure can be opened up and replace with another IDE drive, but I don't know about the I/O Magic one. I was at I/O Magic's user forum, and it seems that they mostly uses BenQ and Aopen drives. Does anyone know whether I/O Magic uses Lite-On drives for 52x burner? Does anyone knows how are the qualities of these two drives? Mainly I am looking for media compatibility, especially for CDRW media, "long lasting", and if the drive can be rigged as a external enclosure? Thanks in advance.
