Need help choosing case for parents pc...

Hi,

I'm building a new comp for my parents and was wondering what would be a good case. I will have a 1.53 Athlon/ASUS MB/512 CRUCIAL DDR/ 30 GB HD/CD-RW ROM/FLOPPY/MODEM. I don't plan on overclocking and want it to be a simple computer. Below are 3 choices I liked. Anybody have inputs cause I'm having a tough time deciding.

Enlight 3101 w/300ps
I have dealt with older Enlight's and they work great but was wondering if this one would be good for my 1.53 Athlon and Asus MB?

Or should I go for the FOXCONN PC 115 w/350ps? Is more juice the better or would it fry my system?

Or should I try the Fong Kai 66B w/300 PS? I have heard some good things in the past. Not sure now.

Thanks to anybody that can help.

For my case needs, I just usually wait until there's a computer show in town, go there, and browse the selection. It might help to make a checklist though first, as there might be a lot to check - maybe you want panels, drive rails, a rear exhaust fan, X number of drive bays, a fan hole in front...there's a lot to look for. Some cases use funky methods of holding the expansion cards in, some are razor sharp inside. That said, sometimes you can score a really good case for around $25. I'd recommend selling the power supply though (do specify that it's generic if that's the case) - the cheap 300W PSU's might not hold up under load, and are better suited for people running a Duron system, or something slower. I have an Antec Truepower 430W in my secondary system, which powers a lot of hardware without trouble. My main system though has a PSU marked TTGI; it seems to be high quality too though.

You could get a 550W power supply, and it wouldn't fry the system. The power supply gives only enough power to run the components; if it's rated for more watts, that doesn't mean it'll kill anything. It just will have a higher ceiling on the amount of power it can produce.

Hey there,

Which ever one you get make sure it has a front and back open vents to allow air flow. As far as PSU
I would also say a 350W PSU. If you get a case with good airflow then if the comp has probs then you
can rule that out as a prob. I have an old compaq case with 26C case temp but the CPU is 43C which
is not good.
I saw this case: Enermax Cases
I know you are trying to save money, but it has some better blow holes and 2 back blow-holes.
It is $45 w/300W PSU and $49 350 PSU. That's just my $0.02
