Need help choosing between OCing, or good gameplay for BF2 with a lower OC? I want to know what you think.

Here is my situation. When I was planning this computer, I was going to go with this ram
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227208

I know it's stable up to a 2.7-2.8GHz overclock on my 3700 San Diego.

Up until I started playing BF2, I had my mind set on that. Obviously for those that play this game, you pretty much know that it runs best without stutter or freezing with 2GB of ram, and that 2GB is what you need to make it run smooth all the time. So my dilema is do I go with the 2X512MB stick and get a good OC, or go with 2X1GB and get smooth game play with a lower overclock?

Another thing, does anyone know of a good OCing 1GB stick? I'm looking for something that'll run a speed of 265+. If you any ideas or opinion on this matter, please let me know.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated

Just run 2GB of cheap ram on a divider- no need to sacrifice your cpu overclock. Performance will be very nearly the same.

This is a rather strange question really. Obviously you want a system that runs smoothly and reliably. If you can't acheive these then what's the point in overclocking. If a program wants 2GB of ram just give it exactly that, remember having the right resources to run a program is more important that just having an extra few MHz of CPU speed.

Even if you left your San Diego at stock, coupled with sufficient ram it will be more than enough for todays and most of tomorrows games.
