I am having trouble picking a mobo for my new Amd 64 3000+. I am big with overclocking and want to get all i can out of my processor without burning it. Anyways, I've narrowed it down to 4 boards.

1. Abit AN8 SLI

2. MSI Neo 4 SLI

3. DFI nF4 SLI Infinity

4. EPoX EP-9NPA+ SLi

I really have no idea which to get.. the price of each is almost the same. I would go for higher boards, but i can not spend that much money. So please advice on which to get or even recommend me to getting another and reasons why will be greatly appreciated.. Thx

I have the DFI nf4 ultra, and it's great for overclocking. It has no problem reaching HTT 300 and more, and a lot of tweaking options for everything. It also supports up to 4v for the ram in case you have the high voltage memory.

If your doing major overclocking and want SLI now or in the near future, I'd go with either one of these:

DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR

or moderate overclocking

ASUS A8N-SLI Premium

I wasn't planning to overclock too much if any so I went with the ASUS board. It was more of DFI's memory acceptance issues that made my decision.

The more you research, people overall say that DFI's are the best boards for overclocking.

What is the difference between the UT and non-UT version of DFI's boards? I saw them both on Monarch in the combo's, but they both look the same. Except for the price :)

I wondered the same, all it appears to be is cosmetic, meaning the UT has UV reactive connectors, so they will glow under a light. I don't know if this is true since the company "DFI" has two meanings "Diamond Flower International" & "Design For Innovation", I have found both listed...confusing??

Hrm, those two DFI lanparty are pretty expensive.. I dunno if I could afford getting one of those... But i'll look into it. But if you were to have to pick one of the boards i've listed, which would u guys choose?

I think they were just released, probably why you can't find too many reviews on them.

This review say's they are "a stripped down version of DFI's LanParty" Judging by the price, I can see that.

If your going to overclock then more often then not people will suggest DFI, either way ASUS or DFI you won't go wrong...it all depends on how much money you want to spend in the end.

Actually its just what comes in the box thats the difference. The UT doesn't come with the carrying thing that you wrap around your case to drag it to lanparties, The sleeving kit, or the FrontX panel.

I'm trying to get one of the non-UT ones ordered in but I can't get a supplier in this town
