http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820167027 -Intel 80GB - $190 - SataII 3Gb/s - read 250 MB/s write 70 MB/s
Have heard alot of good coming from the Intel SSD but the Crucial supports SATA III soo i cant decide which is better now.?

CPU - I7-860 (CM hyper 212 plus{heatsink} with a PWM 800-3200 rpm fan on it)
MoBo - MSI P55A GD65 (has the new USB 3.0 and SATA III 6GB/s)
OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
HD - 500gb Samsung F3 (will be replaced with the SSD i choose) For Mass Storage i'm using a Samsung F3 1TB drive
Ram - 4GB DDR3 1600 (might buy another pair to have 8GB total)
PSU - SeaSonic 750W Power Supply X750 Gold
CASE - CM Storm Sniper
CD/DVD - $30 Sony model nothing special...
GPU - currently using the HD 5770 from the old system (eventually will get the HD 5850 or GTX 470 going to research them a bit before i buy one)

That looks like a good price on the 64Gb C300.

For an OS drive, you need to look at the small file, i.e. 4K, and not the sequential speeds. I know the Intel has very good 4K reads/writes, but I'm not so sure about the C300. Look at the Vertex 2 as well. There was a sale last week that had the 120Gb Vertex 2 at $200 or so. It will be there again.

C300 (Micron) and Sandforce have good random writes; but they are much more severely affected by misalignment than Intel. So be sure to align partition correctly (using Win7 fresh install is recommended).
