Need help choosing a PVR card?

I'd like to get a PCI PVR card to record video and to use time shift recording. The only 2 I'm aware of are the WinTV PVR and the Avermedia TV Studio PVR. There specs look similar so I'm wondering if the WinTV card is really worth the $100 extra dollars that it cost. Anyone familiar with these?

I know ATI makes a TV Wonder, but I'm not sure if it has the time shift recording.

Also, do these cards work as well as a TIVO?
