Hello, how are you?

I am currently looking to buy a new laptop.
The usage will be mainly to photography work.
I need a laptop to do on the go work and also be able to work at the desk.

With this in mind, some features are a must:
- Powerfull quad core CPU (to handle my D800 large Raw Files)
- As much RAM as possible
- An IPS monitor
- Some solution to dock the laptop at the desk to my current peripherals (27 monitor, external drives, mouse and keyboard, external DAC...)

With this in mind, I am currently torn between two solutions:

Solution number one (The cheaper one):
Acer Aspire VN7-591G
- Core i7-4710HQ
- 16GB Ram
- 256 GB M2 SSD
- 1 TB 2.5inch HDD
- 15 inch FullHD IPS screen
- GTX 860M 2GB

Plus na HP 3005pr docking station with:
2x USB 3.0
4x USB 2.0
LAN
Display Port
HDMI

Solution number two:
MSI GS30 2MD
- i7 4870HQ
- 16GB RAM
- 2x 128GB M2 SSD in Raid0
- 13 Inch FullHD IPS Screen
- Intel Iris 5200

This comes with the MSI Gaming dock that has:
- 4x usb 3.0
- Lan
- 3 1/2 inch sata hdd slot
- PCIe x16 GPU slot

Now, the MSI is 100 euros more expensive than the Acer + HP port replicator. And with na added GTX 760 it goes to 250 more.

With this in mind, what would be the better solution?
Both now and in the long run.

Can you please share your thoughts?

Thanks.

Cheers!

The Acer has HDMI, ethernet, and 3 USB 3s, why do you need the external docking thing?

Depending on how important graphics are to you, you could also look at either Lenovo or Dell business machines, they have docking connectors on the bottom.
