Need help choosing a new board

My current rig p3 800eb finally bit the dust. On the bright side I get to build a new up to par rig.

My dilema is this. I know I am going to buy a P4 2.4 Ghz. The motherboards I've narrowed it down to
are: Asus's P4B533-E with all the goodies or the Gigabyte GA-8inxp. They both seem so feature rich I don't know which one will be better. I am also going to be buying a gig a ram, along with the Radeon 9700 pro.

After much research they still seem about even. So please offer up some suggestions and why you like each one 😀

My rig is a P3 800 EB Slot 1 with and old slot one Asus motherboard. 768 megs of ram. 230+ gigs of hd space running XP pro.

Sorry, forgot to include that in the first post.

The gigabyte board should work well. I'm hoping Evan will post a review of the gigabyte sis 655 he's testing.

Thanks for the info guys. I think the gigabyte, though nice is out for the moment. I've really been looking more at the
asus p4pe/r/gbl/f/sata/gd. That board seems to do just about everything a person could want.

In comparison to the Asus p4b533-E are there any major differences? I would like to just get one board that will last me for a while,
even if I have to dish out more cash for it. On the p4pe board, what does the "gold" mean? Also will there be any problems running
a radeon pro 9700 off of one of these?

thanks in advance.
