need help choosing a mobo

I'm in the process of building a new computer and need some suggestions for a mobo. Basically I'm looking for a one that's stable and is capable of being OCed.

So far I have:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
eVGA GeForce 7900GS
Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4
Cooler Master eXtreme Power 600W PSU
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA 3.0Gb/s hard drive
Sony CD-RW CRX320E
Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-108

I have done some research on the current mobos, but each one seems to have it's own problems, or so it seems on the companys' forums/message boards (eVGA, Asus, etc.). Anyways, thanks in advance for your help.

I guess it depends on just how extreme you're looking to OC. With the 6400, all you need to hit is 400FSB and you'll be at 3.2GHz. Pretty much any decent OCing board will handle that.

They all do seem to have their fair share of problems. You didn't really give a price range, but I'd say the Gigabyte DS3 or S3 would be a decent choice. The only issue those boards have are high FSB speeds with D9 memory. Some of those problems have been sorted out with BIOS updates. Still, that was generally an issue in the 450+ range, and with a 6400, 425FSB would put you at 3.4GHz, it would probably start to come down to the processor more than the mobo.

Go for the a ASUS P5N-E Sli Nforce 650i.Those go to great FSB speeds.Just check anand's article or legitreviews.com
Next best bet is the ASUS P5B Deluxe.

thanks for replying so fast. I have looked at the Gigabyte DS3 and S3 before. They both look nice but I don't think my RAM is compatible with those mobos. I haven't fully researched the P5N-E SLI yet, but so far it looks nice. As for a price range, I'm looking for a mobo that's no more than $250.
