Well, after 4 years with my old steel tower (Antec KS188), I finally got the guts to trash it. I?ve always had an overheating problem with it ever since I?ve upgraded the system to an AMD Athlon XP 2000+. Last week I left it opened for moment and when I came back I found out that my pup peeped inside of it and got the soundcard all wet. Fortunately, nothing was lost. I also have a CoolerMaster ATC-201C-SXK case serving as primary system. Now, I need to get a second case to replace the one I just trashed. With all the enclosures on the market today, it?s hard to decide wish one will fit best one?s needs and budget.
The CoolerMaster work?s fine; I just don?t want the same case again. Having two computers looking the same would be a little bit to tacky for me.
After reviewing the popularity of the Lian-Li cases, I?ve decided to go for a Lian-Li enclosure this time around; but I find it a bit difficult to choose the right case.
With all this said, now I have a $120 budget (shipping included), which I?m hoping would be enough. Yes, I?ve seen a lot of Lian-Li cases for a little less, but I need one that will stay as cool as possible, since the system will be running around the clock daily. Also, I need one that has a slide-out chassis and front Firewire access.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
