Need help Choosing a laptop.../Laptop Questions Give me advice!

Alright I am having problems finding my ideal laptop. I am looking for something between 3-5 lbs, 10 gig hd or more, 128 megs ram, 12" screen, decent sound and video. Looking to spend around 1300.00.

the model's i am looking at now are the sharp pc-ar50 and the sony vaio pcg-sr33k and the apple ibook(perfer pc though).

i am looking at some heavy models as well, the compaq 700us and the hp pavillion n5435

I mostly do internet surfing, chatting, email, home office stuff, word proccessing etc. If anyone can give me some ideas, reviews, suggestions or first hand expierience, let me know.

I am looking at the Toshiba Protege 4000 series myself

toshiba's are nice but that's up around 2,000 , im looking to spend about 1300.00 or less

im leaning towards the sr33k and the ibook right now, i can get a sr33k 800 shipped or a ibook 500 1025 shipped, do you think a celeron 600 with 128/256 megs ram will run win xp pro?
