*** Need Help Choosing A Graphics Card ***

Hi all,

I need some help choosing a graphics card. I want to play games like Battlefield and Call of Duty and some racers and such. Do I really need the top dog best $500 dollar graphic card to play these on high resolution and high settings or can I get away with a $200 - $300 card?

Would 2GB cover it? Or would I need a 3GB or 4GB card? And will a graphics card last me at least 3 years before I need to "upgrade" it or no?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. : ]

What resolution are you running, and what does the rest of the PC look like?

Im not sure what resolution would be good? I'd be a 24 or 27 inch monitor. Maybe even a 32 inch tv.

The CPU would be an i5 or i7 k series Haswell.

8GB or 16GB of memory.

Not sure what other info you need? Im not 100% sure yet what Im doing.

The sweet spot for the games you mentioned at your resolution (1080p) is the HD7870 at just over $200. But you're not buying anything for a while, it seems, so check back when Haswell is available in mid-June.
