Need help choosing a color laser printer

Currently torn between two models at my local Costco.

Epson AcuLaser CX11NF $499
Epson Link

or

HP 2605DN xi $439
HP Link
Costco Link

It is going to be used in my families home office. I really like the abilities of the Epson, scanning and copying would be very nice and save me some trouble, but are not dealbreakers. However, the Epson uses host based processing, while the HP uses PS3 or PCL. The printer will be used in solely Windows based network, so I don't know if I should even care about the PCL or PS support.

Bascially, I know that HP is a quality printer, every company I worked for has had HP printers. I used to have an Epson inkjet that lasted me six years, but I have never had any experience with their lasers. I'm also concerned about replacement costs, based on our previous usage, we print about 2,000 or so pages a year. And I don't like dinkering with things like printers - imo they should quietly sit ignored until called upon to print, then perform without question.

I am only considering purchasing from Costco because if I have any problems with it, I can return it no questions asked, and after reading a few printer horror stories I'm not willing to risk being out half a grand because I tried to save some money. So these are the only ones in contention.

Thanks for any help.

I would check out the cost of printing. The HP 2605 appears to use the same toners as the HP 2600. This was the printer with highest per page cost in a review of colour lasers on Tomshardware, see:

http://tomshardware.co.uk/2007/02/02/color_laser_printers_2_uk/

Its worth reading the article on Toms Hardware as the next HP colour laser up from the 2605 is the one with the cheapest price per print.

I do not know what the toner cartridge prices are like in the US.

From a quick look at the Epson it has its own processor so its not entirely host based. There is a positive review of the Epson here:
