I got a P4 2.4 and a ECS P4VXASD2+ and I know people advise against this mobo, but it was a deal at fry's and as soon as i can I am going to upgrade the mobo....
but I wanted to use it using this mobo for now, but when I put it in, and attach the power supply all I get is a very soft high-pitched constant noise..I thought it was the mobo, but I exchanged it for another one and got the same problem...
is there any way to tell if the CPU is bad? or any other suggestions on how to figure out what is wrong?
