Need help buying with buying some RAM.

Ok, I have 2 512 sticks listed below in my sig. I bought these maybe 2 years ago, so I doubt they still sell them anywhere. They are PC3200 DDR400(which is 400mhz if I understand, correct?).

I was thinking about upgrading to 2gigs of memory on my comp. Instead of just selling these for cheap and getting two 1gig sticks, I figured maybe it'd just be cheaper to just buy two more 512 sticks.

I know it's best to use the same name brand. I was told they have to be the exact same specs? Does that just mean in terms of speed?(mhz) Or are there other things that need to match up when getting more RAM?

Thanks in advance.

You may want to recheck the information on your Ram, as according to Kingston, that model has never existed.

Oops, my mistake.

It's KHX4000/512R

So yeah, I had all the wrong info on my RAM, wow. Embarassing 😛

512 MB, Non-ECC PC4000 DDR RAM, 500 MHz, CL3, DIMM 184-pin

I don't know who the best leader in memory is when it comes to RAM, so...

can anyone recommend me a good set of 2gig(2x1gig sticks) off Newegg? Preferably with the price range around $200 max?
