need help buying ram

I just bought the following motherboard ASUS a7n8x deluxe and now I need some help buying the ram. Basically I am looking for 1 GB of ram for around $100. What would my best option be? If thats not possible for around $100 then I can settle for 512 MB. Any suggestions would be welcome.

One suggestion I have had is buying the following Geil modules:

Or how about these:

Has anyone had any problems with these modules?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry forgot to add I will be using an AMD ATHLON XP 2500 "Barton" 333 FSB and probably won't be overclocking

Are you planning on overclocking? If not, then there's really no ponit in getting PC3200 RAM. Just get PC2100 or PC2700 depending on what FSB processor you plan on buying. If you are going to overclock, then you might have a hard time finding 1GB of high speed RAM for $100. Just remember that whatever amount you decide to go with, you need to buy 2 sticks instead of just 1 big one if you want to take advantage of the dual channel memory capability of that motherboard.

Geil doesn't seem to have a very good reputation with a lot of people here. Personally, I've heard enough stories to convince me to stay away from it.

I would go with 2x512 of Kingston Value ram for about $110 if you could squeeze that out...

That way your getting the "future proofing" out of your system more less than 512...
