I am looking to purchase a Lenovo K450e 57327391 (I'll include the specs below) that I will probably hook up to my samsung plasma. I am a total novice when it comes to gaming PCs so I just want to make sure I am not getting bad info from the store. I play call of duty, halo type of stuff mostly (and Skyrim) but I really want the ability to play pretty much anything out there (hence the PC). I know I would be better off taking the time to build one, but to be entirely honest I don't really want to take the time, and again...I don't know much.
It seems like this one would be easy for me to upgrade in the future and I have been told it's a great PC for gaming as is. I will be getting it for $900, which seems like a decent deal. Thanks for any opinions and suggestions...and sorry if this seems like a supper mundane question.

This is the same one with full specs on new egg

Hello Turtle27 and Welcome!
The link is dead,
but I really want the ability to play pretty much anything out there
Only issue I have is in your statement as I'm just not sure the Nvidia 720 GPU is what you want. The rest seems good, I don't know that GPU maybe it will be good for you. this is simply IMHO, you would want a higher end GPU. It would be nice if you could buy that unit without the GPU, or better yet if you could upgrade it. I feel you will not be able to pay "anything out there", unless you buy a higher up GPU.
You cut me off from saying you can save some money and do it yourself, with a higher end GPU that will amaze you. If that's what you want, but you don't want to build it then i suggest Alienware from Dell. Fully warrantied and you can pick the parts you want in it, you can up grade the CPU, the GPU, memory anything.....Atleast have a look.

Thanks for the response...that helps a bunch. I was actually just talking to a co-worker and he has a GTX 760 that he will sell me for $100, and from what I can tell that should be much better.
I am starting to question myself a bit though, it might be worth taking the time to build one. Sounds like it would be much cheaper and I could clearly use the learning process...and it seems like there is no shortage of info on this forum.

The General Hardware forum has a "sticky" thread at the top listing what question you should answer. If you post there and answer all the questions you can get some very good advice on what parts to buy.

It's really easy to build your own if you buy decent parts. It just takes a little time and a couple of phillips screwdrivers.
