Need help burning a Music CD

So I'd like to put together a music CD for my car. Nothing stupid, so don't worry about rap, but there are a few artists and such and I'd like to burn with Windows Media Player.

At any rate, whenever I create a playlist so I can burn that playlist into the CD, I can't. I don't know how, for one thing, and whenever I move away from that playlist, it disappears, and I can't search for it...it just disappears. I have tried this three times now. Three fucking times, and it always goes away.

I have saved the playlists and they still disappear.

I've never used WMP to burn but it sounds like you may need nero or ashampoo or something like that to burn the music CD. Also not positive either of those can burn from just a playlist, in my experience I've had to drag and drop each song I wanted to burn. Probably not much help to you.

IIRC isn't there a burn to cd tab or something like that in WMP? I've never used it, but my rommie last year did. You could try grabbing a free trial of Nero and giving that a shot, it's what I've always used.

To Do this
Copy a digital media file to a CD or portable device Open My Computer or the My Music folder, find a digital media file you want to copy, right-click the file, and then click Copy to CD or Device. Select the type of CD or portable device, and then click Copy.

Change the quality level of a file while you copy it to a portable device. (You might want to do this to save space on your device.) In Windows Media Player, click Copy to CD or Device, and then select the portable device you want to copy to. Click the Portable device properties button . On the Portable Device tab, click Select quality level, and then move the slider to decrease the size of the file or increase the quality level.
