OK, not sure which forum to put this in.
I've made a video with Adobe Premiere. I rendered it to a Divx 5.02 encoded AVI. Now I want to burn it to a DVD. I don't want to change anything, just get the AVI onto DVD with as little loss in quality as humanly possible. No need for titles, chapters or any of that stuff, just hit play and play the movie.
Should I have rendered with a different codec? I spent a lot of time determining which looked the best but I have a feeling MPEG-2 was what I should use. Problem is I don't have it and I'm not sure it will solve my problem.
I spent 3 days calling professional video transfer houses around town and none of them can do it. If I go buy a DVD-R, will I be able to do this? If so, do I also need to buy software to do it? I really don't want to go buy one and spend the time to find out it can't be done... but I don't understand why this is so difficult.
Thx.
