Ok, heres exactly what I did. First, I opened my computer and removed my Geforce2 MX400 64MB video card and installed the Visiontek GTS-V 32 MB card and fired up the pc. I then hit the delete key and went into the bios and changed the card memory from 64 to 32. and then saved and exit. Next windows 2k pops up in 16 color mode (which I expected) and said new hardware found do you want to install a driver for it. I tried to have it select the nvidia 23.11 but it only searches for .inf files so I hit canceled and opened up the nvidia file. the program said do you want to install drivers for GTS/Pro card and I hit yes. It then says you have to restart your pc, which I do and when it turns back on it once again comes up as needing a driver for my video card. What gives?

One more thing, when I swapped in my other card, the geforce2 mx-400, and opened up my device manager and under display adapters was the mx-400 listed with a yellow exclamation point. When I put in the gts card it states it under other devices (i think) instead of display adapters? is the card faulty. or if it was faulty would i get no video at all? someone please reply

Use add/remove programs and uninstall your nVidia drivers and shut down. Put the new card in, boot and put your AGP app size back to 64 meg. That doesn't get set to the video card mem size. When you boot into windows, the new card will be detected. Point Windows to where the drivers are located.

how do I point it to a .exe file? it only looks for .inf and doesn't let me change it.

ok, I changed the setting to 64 MB but that did nothing. same problem. one thing is that under device manager it says Video Controller (VGA Compatible), not GTS-V/Pro. also, when I right click on properties for that device it says location is PCI Bus 1. Shouldn't this be AGP? Also, I am posititve its in the right slot, I don't even think it fits in pci slots.
