Actually my wife voluteered to be the treasurer for her high school classes 10 yr reunion
now she's wondering what to do.

1) anyone know a national bank w/ free checking? could she perhaps say this is a non-profit group and get some services that way?
2) someone else from her class suggested paypal, but she has never used it. I use it but am aware of the risks.

what would be a service similar to paypal that would let people pay money directly? maybe even have them pay any fees? $0.50 per person adds up for a few hundred people.

thanks!

My advice would be not to do it. After watching my wife do a great job planning her 10 yr reunion and all her classmates treatment of her, I swore I never would do that. I have never seen such whining and bitching in my life. Sorry that this isn't really helpful. Good luck.

I attended my 10 year reunion last year. Although I didn't handle the fees they only accepted two methods of payment:

1) They had a personal Paypal account (not Premier/Business because those can accept credit cards and get charged FEES) to receive reunion fees.
2) They also accepted guaranteed funds (no personal checks) money orders and cashier's checks mailed to them.

Since my credit union offers free cashier's checks that's what I did, worked just fine.

LOL nice avitar Rossman🙂

Yes I think my wife will hate doing this, and everyone will crap on her about it probably. but I'm trying to help...
