A friend made a video of the best parties our school had for 2005. We just had the video release party at my house yesterday. I told him if he left the master with me I would be able to make copies for everyone who wanted one (20+ people).
However, I keep getting a cyclic redundency error no matter what program I use to try to copy the dvd. The movie is not copyrighted so I know that isn't the problem. The disc is slightly scatched on the bottom, but is still in excellent shape, I havd DVD's that are far worse than this. The DVD WILL play in my computer and DVD players, but won't copy for some reason.
I have tried:
1. Nero (Copy DVD feature)
2. Clone DVD2
3. DVD Shrink
4. DVD Decrypter
5. Super CloneDVD
6. DVD X Copy
7. Drag and Drop the Video_TS file from windows explorer to my desktop.
8. All of the above with a different DVD-ROM on a different computer.
This is the only copy that he has, and it would be very difficult for him to make another one (don't ask me why he didn't make 2).
Is there anything else I could try to copy this DVD at least to my hard drive?
OR...
Is there a place I could take the DVD so they could make a copy for me, using more advanced hardware?
I appreciate any input for this, and let me know if you need any more detail.
