Okay heres my TV:
http://us.lge.com/products/model/detail...ideo_lcd%20flat%20panel__47LB1DA.jhtml
LG 47" LCD 1080p

and my Video card:

Nvidia 6600GT

right now my video is only going up to 1300x760 (im on another computer at the moment so i cant remember the specific number atm)

the tv supports 1080p and the v-card obviously goes that high, so why isnt it working? when i set it to 1080p i get a "format not supported" type message flash on my tv

you failed to mention how the computer is connected to the TV, I notice in the brocher that the TV is equiped with a vga input. now if you are useing VGA its quite possible that the tv doesnt support 1080p over VGA but only through HDMI, or its also possible that If you are connecting through HDMI that 1080p is only avalible through VGA, I tried to find the manual online but couldnt so I cant tell what each input is capable of.
