Today i was playing a Counter-Strike game like always when i noticed an annoying sound coming from my CPU. It sounded like a screw was loose or something, so i reseated my heatsink. When I put it back on I went into BIOS just like normal and my CPU temperature was 57 degrees! I have a Swiftech MCX370 heat sink, it shouldn't even be over 40! So I called my friend and he suggested to take off the old thermal paste and apply new. So I did this and I still had the same 57 degress. I have tried reseating the damn heatsink about 5 times and my temps are still this high. I keep all the panels of my case off and I took the power supply out and its lying on the table now to keep the heat out, so the venting is acceptable. I can't figure out why my temperature is so high. Any ideas?
