this just happen since oct.12/01
every time i went to desktop say click on my computer, clikc on E: then click on mp3 music or appz, or pic, whatever i click on, it would freeze for like 1 minute. don't have to be double click, just one click would do this too
somebody help me to solve this problem
all the files, appz, pic, are not bad
i can still use adobe PS to open picture, i can still run my mp3 player first then use file open to choose the music i like
i just can't click them on desktop. this freeze even happen in window explore too
forget to mention, it is on win2k pro machine

also according my my event viewer, i get those alot
 
Don't think this will help you much, but...

When my W2K install started wiggin' out, i put the Win2000 cd in the cdrom and you can do a repair or something. Sorry so vague, i don't remember exactly, but i think it'll ask you if you want to re-install or repair the installation. I repaired and it fixed whatever was wrong and I didn't lose any data.
