I need help getting the front USB ports working on an ESC K7S5a board in win xp pro. When I had win 98se installed, they worked fine. I did a clean reformat & installed win XP Pro. The driver disk from ESC has no driver support for Win XP. The board is running stable & fine using the drivers that XP installed. The rear USB ports work. The ESC website does not list any USB drivers to download. I cannot even get into the SIS website. On the other boards I have worked on lately that have the additional USB headers (mainly the MSI KT3 ultra 2), they would not work until I installed the USB driver they provided. Unfortunately, I cannot install any drivers of the ESC mainboard disk. Can anyone help me out on this?

The front ones hang off the same SiS 7001 (or was it 7008?) controller type as do the rear ones. If one is working and the other is not, then that's certainly not a driver issue. Check your connections (the USB1 header pinout is on www.ecs.com.tw).
