i'm seting up a file shared network for my boss's friend 😛

quick comp config

comp1
dell . .winxp home
NTFS partition

comp2
dell. winxp home
NTFS partition

comp3
winxp prof
NTFS

ALL comp in WORKGROUP . and they can see each other perfectly

comp3 and comp2 can share files . while comp3 and comp2 can't go into comp1.. (gives me permission error)

comp1 can see and go into all three computers.

what setting in comp1 should i touch ??.. i don't see the 'security' tab on the sharing option!!

plz help!

only if your behind a router/firewall just ok file and printer shareing

if you aren't, run the network setup wizard on each pc while they are connected to each other.😉

open a folder goto tools-->folder options---> view then at the bottom untick simple file sharing this will gve you your security tab.

hope this helps.
