OK, I'm going to keep this as short as possible, and straight to the point.
So this is what i've got:

A8N-SLI-Premium - BIOS 1005
AMD Athlon64 3200+ Venice Core
MSI GeForce 6600GT 128MB PCI-Ex
2x 512MB DDR400
ThermalTake 430W 24-Pin PSU
Seagate 80GB SATA - Will be my boot drive
Seagate 80GB IDE PATA
LG GSA-4163B DVD Writer
Sound Blaster Audigy Card
Marconi 4-Port Router
Windows XP Pro SP2

Questions:

1. Must I Upgrade to BIOS 1006?
2. Which nVidia Chipset Drivers - v6.65 OR v6.66?
3. Should I install the nVidia IDE / SATA Drivers or use the Windows IDE / SATA Drivers?
4. Which LAN Port For my Router, nVidia NIC OR Marvell 88E81001 NIC?
5. Should I Enable Native Command Queing for my SATA Drive?

I will not be using RAID, Serial Port, LPT Port, On-board sound, or any overclocking options, So I will disable them.

Can someone please help with this.

I have that board. I was not able to lite up NCQ for my Seagate drive until I installed the Nvdia IDE drivers. I used version 6.66 downloaded from their site. Perfect so far, and I swear faster than Windows drivers.

Not sure what BIOS I have, I will chekc sometime :) Also. not sure which LAN I used.

Board is great and stable so far. I use the computer like crazy, but do not overclock. Dave

1. Must I Upgrade to BIOS 1006?
Not necessary but might as well be upto date

2. Which nVidia Chipset Drivers - v6.65 OR v6.66?
I am using the 6.66 from Nvidia but I'm having HDD issues in PCMark 05...so I might need 6.65 from asus...not yet sure.

3. Should I install the nVidia IDE / SATA Drivers or use the Windows IDE / SATA Drivers?
Use the Nvidia ones, but don't install the IDE ones from what I've heard.

4. Which LAN Port For my Router, nVidia NIC OR Marvell 88E81001 NIC?
I'm using the nvidia one...haven't used the Marvell yet.

5. Should I Enable Native Command Queing for my SATA Drive?
If your drive supports it, YES
