I just got a new pc and dont know much about oveclocking, but i have been reading tons of sites saying the amd dual core 3800+ can easily OC over a bit without harming anything whatsoever. I just need alittle help on my memory timnigs. My system is:

AMD 3800+ x2 dual core processor
512mb x1900xt video card
480 watt power supply
2 gigs of corsair value select ram (ddr sdram)
75gig raptor 10k rpm hdd
Abit KN8 Ultra Mobo

Everywhere is saying i can oc it to about 2400mhz without messing with the voltage or cooling for my current setup.

my goal is 2400mhz
and i know where to change the settings but i dont know what to change my memory settings too...can anyone help me? Thanks so much. I am just a little bit confused on how to change/ know what to change my timings to

I have 2Gb of Corsair XMS 3200PT rated at 3-3-3-8 on my Asus A8N5X. I left the timings alone, set the ram divider to 333 instead of 400, set my HTT at 240, and left the 3800X2 at the default 10X setting. Presto: 2400MHz at stock voltage, stable for 72 hours of dual Prime95, and no problems for the three months since then.

I followed the steps in the Quick and Dirty A64 Overclocking Guide here on AT.

Later, just for fun, I changed the memory to 2.5-3-3-8, and it tested stable for almost a week of Memtest86+. I haven't messed with any of the other settings--I'm not a hardcore overclocker, and am happy with what I've got at this point.
