Need help adding voice overs with Nero WaveEditor 4

Anyone familiar with adding recorded voice over a song?

I am sure it is really easy. I can record fine in the program its just when I place the recording in the song it just cuts into it. I want the recording to play OVER the music not have the music stop for the recording and then start again.
