I set up a simple vpn connection on my home computer using the tutorial here (http://damianblog.com/2011/05/26/android-vpn-to-windows7/). This works great and I'm able to get onto my home network and access the router and ping machines on that network. However I'm unable to ping or access the machine that is hosting the vpn connection.
For instance, the windows machine hosting the vpn connection has an ip address of 192.168.0.101 and it has smb shares at smb://192.168.0.101/Shared/. When I connect to the vpn from a remote location, I can't ping that address and can't mount those shares. Since it is hosting the vpn does it hide itself from the LAN? Is there a special ip address i can use to access those shares?
