Need help about modding a rice ride

hi there,

my friend sold his 96 civic to me for 300 bux. it's a EX 2 door coupe. so, i'm thinkin of mod it out by putting a turbo charger in it. questions. where should i start? what website for civic modders? if i got a turbo kit for $850 from ebay, who can install it for me? do i need to buy extra guages for my turbine? is it true that i can boost my stock HP almost to 300?

Please, whatever you do, DON'T RICE IT OUT. You want to make it fast without making it look stupid. Spend almost all of your money on performance, then spend a little bit on the asthetics. Paint it black, get some gunmetal rims and drop it a little bit. You wanna shoot for a sleeper... not enough visual stuff to make it look gaudy, but enough that people know that something's been done to the car.

You need some big red Type-R stickers, they'll do far more than a turbo. Usually you can expect about +50hp each, but you can't stack them on top of each other so you're somewhat limited depending on how big the car is. Other than that, stick a Folgers coffee can on the tail pipe, it Must be Folgers, Starbucks may actually hurt performance.

Seriously, if it's in decent condition, you should just flip it and put the extra money towards your Mustang. That's just my take on it though.
