Hi,
I've been using a 9800PRO with 2 viewsonic TFTs for a little over a year now without any problems... until just now. On my right screen (VGA connection) there's about a 3~4 inch black bar, and it looks like my desktop has been moved to the right. It's not just a windows problem either, as it's apparent during booting as well. When I switch my dvi/vga cables, the problem is on the other screen, so it's not a defective monitor. If I connect only one monitor via the DVI cable, there is no problem, but when I try to connect either one via VGA the black bar appears and my desktop is moved to the right. Sometimes I don't get an image at all, and I have to reset my computer.
Things i've tried:
1) Reinstall drivers.
2) Take out and clean the card.
3) Switched dvi/vga cables around.
Can anyone shed some light on what the problem might me? My best guess is something with the VGA port on my 9800pro is defective, and I just need to get a new card. 🙁 I'm hoping one of you can give me a better answer and tell me it's fixable. 🙂
Thanks.
