Figured anandtech forums would be the place to go since you all are geniuses. Anyways system specs.
P4 2.0ghz Northwood
Gigabyte GA-8vt800-L (VIA PT800 Chipset)
512mb Nanya Ram

Ive had this problem for weeks now, I can not find a solution to it. When I go into the Ati Drivers control panel, the SmartGart Settings is at 0x. When I try to upp the settings to a higher one (4x or 8x) the system will reboot and still at 0x. I went into the bios and the AGP aperture size is at 128 mb. AGP 4x etc. I ran 3dmark05 and im only averaging 6 fps. Can anyone help?

Try a re-install of the Control Panel protion of the software, and choose "Repair" (i think it asks) no need to remove it first.

Happend to me once, and I think that is what I did to fix it.

The solution is that you need to reinstall your motherboard chipset drivers, via 4 in 1. Problem fixed.
